Dr. Khalily is a Professor of Department of Business Administration, University of Asia Pacific. He has teaching and research experience of over 45 years. His areas of interest in relation to SDGs are poverty analysis, enterprise development, financial inclusion, risk management and micro insurance, and climate change. During the past 45 years, he has held many important positions, notably: Chairman, Department of Finance, University of Dhaka, Executive Director, Institute of Microfinance, and Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange. He is at present independent Dirctor of Bank Asia and holds the position of Chair of Audit, and Risk Management Committees. Professor Khalily has also published quite large number of papers in national and international journals. Professor Khalily is also the Dean of the School of Business of the University. As the Dean, he is involved in many governance and policymaking activities, and has been providing leadership in developing the School of Business of University of Asia Pacific.
