Structure of the MBA Program

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) is a full-time program that can be completed in 1.5 to 2 years. The curriculum consists of 20 courses and an internship/dissertation program. Each course carries three credit hours. The 20 courses are segregated into foundation (10), functional (5), major (4) and capstone area (1). To obtain an MBA degree, a student must complete all the courses (unless waived) and defend successfully the internship/dissertation report. Waiver is given only in the foundation courses. The internship, a non-credit mandatory component, consists of an organization attachment for two months and a project work. Instead of an internship, a student may be allowed to write a dissertation under the supervision of a faculty member.
